Questions worth asking first
Will these read like AI wrote them, or like everyone else’s vows?
That worry is the right one, and it is the one this is built against. The drafts are written from your answers and from nothing else — the words you reach for, the length your sentences actually run — and we check them back against what you gave us before you ever see them. Nothing stock, nothing borrowed from other couples, no phrase you would never say. Then you read every line aloud and change whatever is not yours.
Is this written by AI?
Partly, and here is the whole of it. You answer questions about the two of you. A language model writes four drafts from those answers and from nothing else. Then you read them out loud, change the lines that are not yours, and keep what you actually mean. It will not invent a memory, a name or a date — anything we were not told comes back as a bracket for you to fill in. The blank page is the part we take. The promise stays yours.
Is any of this religious?
Only if you say so. One question asks whether you want your vows secular, religious, or a mix of the two, and which tradition if either — and nothing is assumed before you answer it, in either direction.
What do you do with what I wrote about us?
Your answers and your drafts are encrypted, are never logged, and are never sold or used to train anything of ours. They are deleted along with the rest of your session at the end of your access window, or sooner if you ask us.
How long can I get back in?
12 months from the day you buy. Your link works on any device for that whole time — read them again, change a line, print a fresh page. We email you before the window closes, and then everything is deleted.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within 30 days of buying, write to support@personalvows.com and we refund it — no form to fill in and no explanation required.
My partner wants to write theirs too.
That is the $59 price: two questionnaires, two sets of vows, one payment. You each answer your own, at your own pace, and neither set is written from the other one.
Do I have to print anything?
No. The read-aloud page and the card both work on a phone held open at full brightness. Paper is steadier in a wind and does not dim halfway through, which is the only reason it is the default.
